Every session is different to keep kids on their toes! We usually start with a creative warmup, then dive into the day's activity – art, writing, or a mix of both. After brainstorming ideas together, kids create independently, then we come back together to share their work and celebrate each other's creativity.
-
The mailout is a lovely companion to our sessions. Sent at the start of each month, it sets the theme and tone ahead, sparking kids' imaginations before the meetups. Kids can dive into the activities and chat about them independently or with family at home, or bring their ideas and projects into sessions to share with the group. It's a great way to keep creativity flowing all month long.
-
I like to call it "stealth teaching" – kids pick up real skills like typography, collaborative storytelling, and narrative structure, perhaps without realising it, because they're having too much fun to notice. More than any single skill, though, membership is about making creativity a habit – one that sticks, even when life gets busy.
